What are you afraid of?

After leaving work this morning my brother wanted me to stop at the gas station for food so we did like any other ride home. Though one difference was that after he returned to my car he mentioned a police car nearby that seemed to be “acting weirdly” in his opinion and he never brings up things like this so it kind of worried me. At first I turned my headlights off and remained in the parking spot for a minute or two then we decided to just take another street home since we were literally down the street from our destination. While driving down the dark curvy roads I forgot to turn my headlights back on so eventually an officer still stopped me to provide a little reminder lol. He went through the regular routine of checking our licenses/the car’s insurance then let us go ticket free. Though throughout the entire process we never made eye contact or saw each others faces so Ill never know what he looked like…just a voice with a uniform and flashlight.

Police officers in general make me feel slightly uncomfortable because they are in this position of power which is always threatening even though I’ve done nothing wrong.
